A few simple habits keep premium finishes looking new for decades. Here’s how to care for the fixtures we carry.
For all finishes, wipe with a soft, damp cloth and a little mild soap, then dry with a clean cloth to prevent water spotting. That’s genuinely all most fixtures need.
Never use abrasive pads, scouring powders, or cleaners containing acid, bleach, ammonia or alcohol. These can permanently dull or damage plated and coated finishes. Avoid leaving cleaning products sitting on the surface.
Matte black, gunmetal and brushed gold/rose-gold (PVD) finishes are durable but prefer gentleness: warm water and a soft microfibre cloth only. Skip polishes and any product not explicitly approved for the finish.
Buff lightly with a dry microfibre cloth to restore shine. For mineral spots from hard water, a 50/50 white-vinegar-and-water wipe followed by a clean-water rinse and dry usually does it.
